Calgrit is a granular shaped crushed limestone which adds calcium to the water and buffers the pH, preventing illnesses such as soft shell.
Calgrit should be about an inch thick on the bottom of your tank. There is no need to rinse Calgrit. Water will go cloudy for up to 48 hours but will not harm your turtle.
Replace every 4 months.
