• Meat is rich in phosphorus but contains very little calcium, so an all-meat diet will be deficient in calcium, making it critically important to add calcium back in.
• But when it comes to puppies, even an all-meat diet does not provide sufficient phosphorus for the rapid puppy growth stages, making Replace-A-Bone the perfect choice for all life stages.
• Replace-A-Bone provides the correct amounts of both calcium and phosphorus necessary for stronger bones, for increased bone mass index, to help avoid fractures and for improved dental health.
• Replace-A-Bone is made from whole bone, which contains the ideal physiological ratio of calcium and phosphorus in a microcrystalline structure that enhances absorption and bioavailability.
• Apart from fresh bones, Replace-A-Bone is the only source of calcium that should be fed to puppies and pregnant dogs.
• Replace-A-Bone contains bone stimulating peptides (IGF I & II, TGF β, Osteocalcin). Peptides are tissue-specific information molecules which influence gene expression. Peptides start the process of protein synthesis in cells and regulate proper cellular functioning. As our dogs age and are impacted by several different stressors (environmental toxins, poor nutrition, stress, etc.) they are no longer able to form new peptides at the same rate as during their youth.
