Had a fresh dog food store open up locally, it was cheaper and I didn't have to bother with the delivery and as long as the quality was close, I thought I'd give it a go.
BIG MISTAKE!
Quality was rubbish, dogs (Kelpies) quickly gained weight and lost their bounce. I decreased food but they just weren't the same.
I cook my dogs food using a BARF formula, so it really doesn't make sense to put all that time and effort using sub par ingredients.
Happy I gave it a crack, but glad to be back. Also VERY pleasantly surprised to see the delivery costs model has changed, that was another reason I left, I buy in bulk and often went of the 64$ limit by a few KG's, so have to muck about sourcing the extra from elsewhere. Now I can just order it all with a reasonable incremental delivery increase.
I also see the quality is now locked in and guaranteed. 100% human grade, and you CAN see the difference.
Yes you can buy cheaper, but you will not buy cheaper and better, not even close. Just not worth it, I provide BARF to give my dogs the best chance of living long, doesn't make sense to compromise the quality.
